Many of the lessons learned in the evolution of a traditional Eastern Shore farmhouse are applicable today, and are incorporated into this home. Narrow rooms for ventilation and daylight penetration, natural and local materials, and simple, extruded forms are all ideas that drove the massing of the home. On the inside, however, the rooms are opened up considerably to reflect the current desire for more space and connection.
