Sustainable Ideas

Sustainable architecture reduces the environmental impact buildings have on their environment.  The construction and operation of buildings consumes about 50% of all the energy consumed in this country, so making architecture more sustainable can have a large impact on the planet, as well as the owners of the building.  While Energy Efficiency is an important component of sustainable design, it is not the only area that needs to be thought through to produce a truly sustainable building.
